Adoption Family for June

Monday, June 18, 2012

Every month we donate to a new family that is raising money for their adoption. $10 from every Chosen necklace sold will will be donated. Worthy of the Prize will also donate the entire proceeds from the sales of their Chosen Child Fit Band and Half Loop. See more about this month's family below, they have the entire month of June to earn.

Our family for the month of June is...
The Dalton Family
"We are Mike and Leslie Dalton. We have been married for a year and a half. Since before we were even married we have been discussing adoption, both domestic and international. We both knew we would go down this road at some point in our marriage. What shocked us was how early into our marriage that God had called us to it. Over the last several months God has been making it clear to us that this is our path. Since we began back in March, we have already experienced the typical ups and downs of the adoption process. Through this we are being strengthened for that very special day when we finally get to bring our sweet little baby home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Love,
The Dalton's

May's "Chosen" Family

Every month we support a new adopting family by donating $10 from every Chosen necklace sold. Worthy of the Prize also donates the entire proceeds from the sales of their Chosen Child Fit Band and Half Loop.

Each family has an entire month to earn, this money is then donated to their adoption agency. For the month of May we have the Dyer Family. There is just over one week left in their month so I thought I'd post this little reminder. If you purchase of one of these products you are also helping a child get a family!

The Dyer Family
(Our names are Matt, Amber, and Brock Dyer. Matt and I have been married for 9 years this summer. Our son is seven years old and looking forward to officially calling himself a 2nd grader in a few weeks. Even more, he can’t wait for the title of “Big Brother”. We were selected on March 30th by an expecting mother who is due at the end of this month in a neighboring state. After seven years we don’t really have any baby stuff left around the house and are on a mad dash to prepare for the arrival of our newest blessing. After two surgeries, a hysterectomy, two failed rounds of IVF with a surrogate, and a broken heart we are so happy to be building an open adoption relationship. While my husband was attending the police academy last summer, several things fell into place for us and we were accepted into our agency. We feel very strongly that this is the road we have been lead to after all of these years. Things have moved very quickly since then and it’s been a roller coaster of emotions! I’m nervous, excited, scared, and about everything in between. On behalf of the three (soon to be four) of us, we thank you so much for allowing us this opportunity.)

April's "Chosen" Family

Monday, April 2, 2012

We are changing up our chosen child adoption fundraiser just a bit. We will no longer have a list of families to select from, instead there will be one family featured each month. These families will have an entire month to earn money to help with the cost of their adoption.

For the entire month of April $10 from every Chosen necklace sold will go toward the Collins Family adoption. Worthy of the Prize will also donate the entire proceeds from the sales of their Chosen Child Fit Band and Half Loop. And they will even double the earnings this month if they reach 530 followers on their blog! How great is that? Go follow! You can help an orphan just by following them! How simple is that?

Now meet the Collins Family.
We are KC, Sandia, Caedmon, and Oliver. KC and I have been married for 6 years. We have 2 amazing, high energy boys: Caedmon is almost 5 and Oliver is 3. We are in the process of bringing our daughter home from Ethiopia. We do not know anything about her yet, but we find ourselves praying for her constantly. We officially started this "paper" journey in July of 2011. Though, it's something that has been in our hearts for a long while. God has been so faithful to us throughout this entire process. We are constantly amazed at His provisions and blessings. It makes this wait more bearable knowing that God is for us. Our entire family is so eager to have her home. Our boys talk about her all the time - always wondering when she'll get here. We are so thankful for the opportunity to take part in this fundraiser and we would like to thank you all for your help ahead of time. Again, thank you and may God bless you. Sing to God, sing praise to His name, extol Him who rides on the clouds---His name is the Lord---and rejoice before Him. A father to the fatherless, a defender of the widows, is God in His holy dwelling! {Psalm 68:4-5}

Ken and Sarah Lovett, who are the reason we began this adoption ministry, brought their son home from the Ukraine last spring!

Jeff, Amber, Carson and Kolby brought home Baby Adelyn on June 22nd!
She was 10 months old when we brought her home at the end of June.  Being a teacher, I actually got the call on the last day of school that all of her documents were set and she was ready to go home.  I remember jumping up an down and screaming with tears running down my face!  Everyone was so happy for us!  We traveled to Korea one week later and spent 7 days experiencing the culture and the beautiful country.  It was the most incredible experience of my life!!  I will never forget seeing her on her foster mother's back for the first time.  I just started crying immediately.  She wasn't too sure of us for the first 45 minutes, but then my husband be-friended her with Gerber puffs and soon she was sitting in his lap!  She has had Daddy wrapped around her finger ever since!  In fact, she has pretty much everyone wrapped around her finger. Her Gotcha Day was June 22- the day they put her in our arms forever!  She laid her head on Jeff's shoulder like she just knew we were Mommy and Daddy!  We landed in the USA two days later and she met her brothers for the first time who immediately fell in love with her too!  She is such a happy, outgoing little girl.  She is always smiling and laughing and its just so contagious!  Everyone who meets her falls in love with her.  She is such a blessing to us.  Some people say that she is so lucky to have us as her family, but we think its the other way around... we are so so so lucky to have her.  I feel like she has been with us forever!  I can't imagine my family any more perfect than what it is now.  To God be all the glory!!  Read the rest of her story here.

Baby Helen Hope came home on June 27th! Watch the beautiful, moving slideshow here.

The Hartmans rescued Judd from a mental institution in Eastern Europe in June!
Judd was put in an institution because he had down syndrome - he is lucky to be alive! His story will be featured in our upcoming ebook, "Find Joy in the Journey," which will debut Summer 2012, so stay tuned for more details. There are many more who need to be rescued as well and as a result, Melanie has started an online shop to support missionaries who are committed to meeting the needs of the boys in the institution and more importantly, sharing the gospel message of salvation through Christ alone with them. Please consider supporting this ministry by donating to or purchasing products in The Lost Boys Boutique.

Megan and Nat brought their baby girl home on July 2nd!
In February, we received the referral for a precious little girl - only 6 pounds and two months of age.  We were instantly smitten...now if only we could get her home.  We finally traveled in May for our first trip to Ethiopia.  We had the amazing opportunity to meet our daughter for the first time, and spent every possible moment at the orphanage with her!  It was an amazing experience...but the miraculous moment came when we went to our court appointment with the Ethiopian courts and PASSED....the first time!  We considered her our daughter from the first time we saw her face...but now we were LEGALLY a family of four!  We left Ethiopia a short week later with a heavy heart and prayed that we would make our second journey SOON.  5 miserable weeks later we were on our way to BRING HER HOME.  We were united on June 26th and July 2nd, 2011...family and friends joined us at the airport to help us welcome home our precious daughter!  She has now been home for 4 1/2 months and is 10 months old.  It has been such a joy to watch her break out of her shell!  She has the most vivacious and contagious personality and is SUCH a joy!  Her older brother is in love with her too...we are so thrilled to see their bond already.  Thank you everyone for your assistance in fundraising - you have been such a blessing to us!  We thank God every day for our little love. Feel free to follow our journey and read more about our two trips to Ethiopia here.

Baby Connor came home on July 25th! Read his story here.

This beautiful baby girl was united with her forever family on August 5th!

The Farrells brought their 14 year old daughter home on September 18th!
Twin boys, Kingston and Kyrie, were united with their forever family in November!

The Dears brought their daughter Rae home on December 20th!
Our family has been on an amazing journey to bring home our little girl, Rae.  We started our journey in August of 2010. After many months of filling out paperwork and getting our dossier to China, we were matched with a 6 year old girl named Yang Rui in July 2011.  At the time of her referral she was diagnosed with a blood disorder and strabismus and was living in Sichuan Province.  She was abandoned a few months after the big earthquake at the age of approximately 3. We know nothing about her life before the orphanage.   We were very excited to be finally matched, and after gathering all info about her disorder we happily accepted her and sent in our LOI.

The next part of the waiting was tough, but we received our travel approval to go and get our girl.  We were able to travel to China as family the week before Christmas.  Even though we knew we would be spending Christmas in China, it was very worth it.  Our Gotcha Day was December 19th, and we were excited to finally meet her in person. Her caregivers told us that she showed everyone our pictures we had sent her and loved taking pictures with the camera in her care package.  She was very shy at first, but she eventually warmed up to us.  When it was time to leave, she realized her nanny had already left.  She was very sad to say the least.  For the next several hours, she majorly grieved.  There was a lot of crying and screaming and wanting her nanny.  We knew about this phase, but it was very tough to watch. Noel had gone out to McDonald’s for dinner because we knew there was no going out together.  We tried and tried to get her to eat, and then finally she started eating the FRIES! The fries magically stopped the crying and she was happier and smiling.  We also found out she loved taking pictures with our camera phone.

After learning how to correctly pronounce her Chinese name, we changed her name to the English spelling. On December 20th Yang Rui became, Rae Michelle, a forever member of our family.  She happily placed her handprint on the paperwork. While in China, there was a lot to learn about what she liked and didn’t like.  We had wonderful bonding moments with everyone in our family. We had fun at different museums, parks, and zoos.  Our favorite part may have been seeing the pandas in Chengdu. She was becoming another Dear girl forever cemented in our hearts.

We have been home for a month now, and we cannot imagine our family without this little girl.  She has been a trooper through her dental surgery, blood draws, and other doctor visits.  We are thankful that the hospital provides translators for us to help her understand what is going on.  Rae is learning to say more and more English words and loves to copy her ABCs.  She is great little helper around the house.  We love watching her learn about her new world and see her thriving.  We are looking forward to teaching her more about the love of Jesus, and one day accepting Him as her Savior.  You can read more about our experiences at http://increasingheartandhome.blogspot.com/.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will---to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. {Ephesians 1:3-6}

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. {John 14:18}

New Adoption Families and Adoption Auction Reminder

Friday, October 29, 2010

Just want to share the latest 3 families that have been added to the adoption fund raising efforts!

Noel and Donna Dear

God has truly blessed our family over the years. We stand in awe of his blessings that we do not deserve. My husband is a senior pastor in Ohio, but we are originally from MS and AL. We just celebrated 15 years of marriage this summer. We were not sure if we would be able to have children, but through God's goodness He blessed us with 2 beautiful daughters. Adoption was talked about, but nothing ever serious. We have several friends who have adopted both domestically and internationally. I would feel little nudges that maybe we should think about it, but I would push those thoughts back. I was happy with our family of four.

Over the past year or so, the nudging from the Lord became louder. The movie "The Blind Side" came out, and when we left the movie I made a little joke about adopting, and my husband said yes. Again, I pushed it aside. My husband has always been ready I believe. Our church has helped orphans in Kenya, and has had a friend of ours come in and talk about adoption. This past summer we were at the Southern Baptist Convention and there was a big push for ministers to step up and help out the millions of orphans around the world or to help families who are adopting. During one of the speakers, God spoke to me and told me it was time. No more putting it off. When he spoke of how the girls that are not adopted could potentially spend a life that I would not want my daughters in, I just knew that is what our family should do. The funny thing was that I was going to bring it up at dinner, and my husband was the first to do so, and I just said YES! I am ready.

Several have said, why another girl - it is what God has laid on our hearts - a special needs girls from China. We want to show this girl the love of a family as well as the love of a Father that has known about this before we did. We didn't know originally where when we started, but God has lead us to China and the agency we chose.

We are so excited to grow our family through adoption! We met in 2004 and were inseparable from the start! We dated for two years and were married in 2006. After struggling to start a family for a few years we decided to pursue adoption. As soon as we started looking into adoption we knew it was God's plan for us. It seems like we jumped one hurdle after another during our fertility treatments but as soon as we started the adoption process everything just fell into place. It has been absolutely amazing watching God's hands at work in our lives! Our family is so happy for us and our decision! They have been doing everything they can to help us bring our little one home. We are working with Christian Family Care in Phoenix, Arizona and couldn't be happier with them. They have been such a wealth of information and have helped guide us through this scary, yet thrilling adventure. We are truly blessed to be embarking on such an amazing journey!

Rob and Tabby Whapham
Howdy Ya’ll! We are from a small town in Texas and we have been married for 11 years. We are blessed to have 3 amazing kids, Brittney (21), Daniel(16), and Grace (8). Our family is a testimony to how amazing God’s grace is and what wonders He can do with a blended family.

With our oldest daughter approaching the age of marriage we honestly never thought we would be adding another member to our family, unless it was a grandbaby! However, God had different plans. It’s been almost 10 months ago now that God laid an incredible burden for the orphans of this world on my heart. Like Sarah in the bible, I laughed when I felt He was leading us down this path and promised to ‘pray’ about it. Over the next several months that burden deepened and God truly broke my heart for these children. I did not seek out His plan as steadfastly as I should have and yet He still brought me face-to-face with information, people, adoptees, and offered confirmation in my daily life that led me time and again back to these tiny people.

When we as a family begin to talk and pray about adopting, there was no doubt in any of our minds that this was where God was leading us…and the confirmations kept coming. We really began to understand the charge in the Word to look after the widows, homeless and orphans.

We are excited and terrified at this prospect! More than all of that, we are holding fast to the promises that God has made for us…and for this little person. A promise for a 'hope and a future.' And so we step out in faith trusting that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Thank you for being willing to share in our journey. You can follow along at: http://www.wewant1more.blogspot.com/

A new adoption family!

Some interesting things with the adoption cause coming real soon. Until then meet the newest adoption family!

Chris and Nicole O'Meara
Hello. We are the O'Mearas. Chris, Nicole, and Joshua (age 9). We are going to adopt a child from Ethiopia. Our road to adoption has been long and personal. I think we'll shock a few people along the way with our news. But we're so excited to finally be doing it. Our three, will soon be four!

For us, adoption has always been an option. When Joshua was born, we found out he'd be our only biological child. We decided we'd leave the door to adoption open. But at the same time, we really like being a three-some. God had plans for us to be more and slowly but surely he revealed those plans to us.

Starting with a Steven Curtis Chapman concert in 2000 and progressing through the years, adoption become more and more real to us. In 2008, some close friends adopted a little boy from Ethiopia. We loved him instantly. And God used their adoption to encourage us to pursue international adoption.

Still, we were nervous about the costs (our adoption will cost around $25,000) and how it could work logistically with Chris' job. God was mercifully gentle as he tore down those walls of worry. Finally, this Easter, through a program at our church, the last wall crumbled. It wasn't very long at all until we were calling adoption agencies.

At first we thought we'd adopt from China. But again, God kindly and gently steered us away from China and towards his plan for our adoption. Ethiopia also interested us because of our friends' adoption but we never really pursued it. Then, a nice employee at our adoption agency said, "I think you guys would be a good fit for Ethiopian adoption." Wow! We'd never even mentioned Ethiopia to her. Her comment was just the confirming word we needed.

So, that's the very short version of how we got to where we are. Soon, we will be four. We'll look a little different. And, by God's grace, we will be a little different too.

Thank you, Erin and Worthy of the Prize Ministries for helping us bring our "new little guy" (as Joshua likes to call him/her) home.

Follow our story here.

...to meet all of these families that are ready and willing to adopt!

Don't forget to enter the giveaway HERE in the name of adoption!

Meet Joshua and Hilary Helms
We have a three year old biological son, Jude- who brings more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined! I'm blessed to be a stay at home mom to Jude, and Joshua is an AP World History teacher and soccer coach at McKinney High School. Several months ago, after praying that God would break our hearts for the things that break His, our lives radically flipped upside down with the burden of adoption heavy on our hearts. In truly seeking God's will for our lives it has become overwhelming clear that His truth calls us to care for the orphans. We are in the early stages of an international adoption from Ethiopia with All God's Children International, and we are desperately seeking to be obedient to this God given burden to live out of love... and sometimes out of our comfort zone! We are in uncharted territory and are entirely relying on God in ways we never have before- it's a great place to be in life! He is blowing our socks off in the way He is unfolding this story of bringing home our child! We are humbled at how He is using His people to write His story in our lives through financial generosity, encouragement, and prayers! We cannot wait to tell our sweet Ethiopian boy of the amazing, faithful ways God brought him into our family! We'd love to have you be a part of this story as well!

A new adopting family! Yeah!

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)

Hey there! Have you looked around you lately? If you do you just may notice that there are a lot of people tyring to adopt! It makes me happy! How about you?

Meet Matthew & Sarah Rideout. They are one of the families that we are helping to raise money for their adoption. Matthew and I have been married for 2 and a half years and live in Asheville, NC. I am an RN, and after the earthquake this year, went down to aid in disaster relief at a clinic in Penier, outside of Port-au-Prince. Once arriving, God had other plans for me that specific trip, and I ended up at Children of Hope Orphanage and Hospice to take care of the little ones there that hadn't had a check up in a while. There, I met Ashley, and our world turned upside down. Since then, we have been pursuing her adoption as the process of patience grows us stronger as a family.

Adoption was always "plan A" for us, we just didn't know it was going to be God's plan for our first little one until now. As you can imagine, we are thrilled to be chosen to be Ashley's parents, and despite the hardships, we press on, knowing that His plans are good and His timing is perfect, no matter the outcome. The greatest thing we are learning in this process is that she is HIS and not ours...and that even if she never gets to actually be in our home due to some unforeseen circumstance, she is always HIS and always in our hearts. And she will always be HIS even if she gets to be ours legally someday. We have committed to love her and support her, no matter what the outcome. The products you are buying are bringing us one step closer to having her in our arms. Thank you for supporting us and helping us to love her!!!!

Meet 2 new adoption families!

We have 2 new families that we are helping to raise adoption funds for. Click HERE for more info about this cause!

You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu

Hi! We are Jeff, Amber, and our two sons Carson (age 8) and Kolby (age 5).
We are a fun-loving, frog-catching, bike-riding, bug-holding, dirt-collecting, Lego-building, horse-riding, scrapbooking, model train making, sometimes silly, rarely quiet, but always praying, Jesus-loving family who have one thing in common... lots of love waiting for a sister/daughter to make our family complete.

Both of us are teachers. Jeff is a middle school science teacher and Amber is an elementary music teacher. We have been married for 13 years and can honestly say we are each other's best friends! We are both very active in our church- Amber plays keyboard with the band, and Jeff works with the high school youth group. We love serving and just returned from a mission trip to Mexico!

Family is the most important thing in our life and we have always wanted a large family. Although we had no problems getting pregnant with our boys, when we started trying for a third child, it just wasn't to be. We had always thought about adopting internationally and we knew that God was leading us and molding our hearts for adoption. We are currently waiting to be matched with a baby girl from South Korea! Its impossible to describe the joy and excitement we feel!! We know He has placed this in our hearts to care for the orphans of this world. There are 143 million orphans and hopefully next spring, there will be one less. We know the journey ahead will be long and may not be easy. But we know that at the end of our journey will be waiting a special little girl... our daughter. An incredible gift that God had waiting for us all along.

Please visit our blog.... Waiting For You

Brandon and Courtney Thornton
Brandon and I met as teenagers and were instant best friends. Our friendship blossomed into love, and we have now been married for four years. Even before we married, we knew that adoption was part of God’s plan for growing our family. We expected that this would come later in our marriage, but a few months ago both felt that it was time to move forward with adoption. We both felt an urgency, almost like we already had a child out there somewhere, and that we needed to find that child and bring him or her home. We began praying for direction, and felt God leading us to work with an adoption agency, despite not knowing how we would pay for it.

So far, God has provided everything we’ve needed, exactly when we need it—and in some pretty crazy ways! We are just trusting that He will continue to provide, and we thank you so much for your help!

We are so excited about becoming parents! I can’t wait until our home is filled with the sounds of children’s laughter. Since starting this journey, our love and passion for adoption has only grown. We pray daily for our children, whoever and wherever they are, and can’t wait to bring them home

Matthew and Allison
Matthew and Allison Robinson
We are Matthew and Allison Robinson. We are both very involved in our church. We teach our youth group on Wednesday nights and until the new year begins we will teach 1-3 grade Sunday School. Matthew is now serving as interim minister of music. We both work at the same hospital. He works on computers and I work in administration with our cancer institute. We will be moving to a newer and bigger place soon..very soon...like NEXT week! Even though it is an apartment it is much larger than our one bedroom starter home. We are excited to have a child that we can love and play with on the playground at our complex. Hopefully you can see we have a deep love for children and can not wait to welcome our own baby into our family. We also have two sweet puppies, a maltipoo and a yorkie, both under a year of age.

Trevor and Jennifer
Trevor and Jennifer Chase
Hi! We are Trevor and Jennifer Chase from Carl Junction, Missouri (in the southwest corner of the state). We were high school sweethearts and have been married for 10 years. God blessed our family with a precious baby girl in January 2005 and then again with our crazy little guy in 2007. We thought our family was complete until He spoke to our hearts in November 2009 to let us know that there were more children in our future and that our next additions would come to our family via adoption!!

We have prayed for months about where our babies are and God has led us to adopt from Ethiopia. We are hoping to adopt 2 young siblings and are using Children's Hope International. We are very early in the process and are hoping to be able to bring our little ones home late 2011/early 2012. We feel so blessed to be able to do a small part in living out James 1:27!

Bryan and Susanne

Adoption is our greatest miracle.  After 10 years of marriage, years of infertility, and two failed adoptions, we were blessed with our beautiful daughter.  She has changed us in ways we can’t even begin to describe.  We love being parents and we love our little girl.  We know Joy coming into our lives is providence, and we can hardly wait to embrace another child.

Adoption has not been an easy road for us, but one that has brought us the most blessings.  We can not imagine our family formed any other way.  We are thankful for amazing birth parents, which make adoption possible.

We know God has a plan for our lives and we believe that somewhere someone is looking for a family who will love their baby and that, when the time is right, God will bring us together.

Akins Family

Rob and Nichole have been married for almost 7 years and live in Madison, Alabama. About a year and a half ago they begin to try to conceive a child. Adoption has always been in their hearts and after lots of talking and praying, felt that God is leading them to adoption. There are millions of children all over the world that need and deserve a loving family and they KNOW that they can give a child a great life.

Rob and Nichole have started the adoption process with Catholic Family Services in Alabama and are anxiously awaiting completing their family. "We sincerely appreciate ALL of your help. We ask that you continue to pray for our family and our future baby on this journey to each other."

Lovett Family

Ken and Sarah Lovett are in the process of adopting 2 children from the Ukraine and they need our help raising funds!
Here are a few words from Sarah's heart---
I am married to such an amazing godly man and my best friend, Ken. We are in Kentucky for Ken to attend seminary but we are originally from Alabama. We have been married for three years and over the past several months we have been praying about adding to our family. We now know that God is directing us to adopt two children from the Ukraine. We would love for you to join us on this amazing journey! Did you know that in the world today there are 143 million orphans? They have no family to claim them and no parents to call their own. Many of them age out of the orphanages and become homeless, turning to drugs, suicide, or prostitution. Yet they are not without hope! The Lord cares for the orphans and following God’s call in our life, we desire to give them a home, love, and a family to call their own.

Please join us in praying for the orphans around the world that they would have enough food to eat, for someone to care for them, and for their protection. Please also pray that God would care for and provide for our children while they are in the orphanage in the Ukraine until we are able to go over and bring them home with us. Pray that God would give us wisdom, discernment, and insight as we raise our children.

McLamb Family
McLamb Family
Meet Justin & Tara McLamb of North Carolina! They have been best friends for 8 years, and married for 5. After 5 surgeries and several rounds of fertility treatments, they have been told by the nation's best specialists at Duke and UNC that having their own biological child will be impossible.
After much prayer, Justin and Tara felt led to start the adoption process in January. They are excited to be parents and have been matched with a birth-mother in Oklahoma!! Their little miracle will arrive Nov. 5th, 2010! As you can imagine, the adoption process is not cheap and travel to and from Oklahoma is not included in the adoption fees!
"We are so thankful that we were chosen by God to raise this baby and that we were offered the opportunity to partner with Worthy of the Prize in raising funds and awareness for adoption. We are honored that God would use our situation for a testimony, and we praise Him for friends that have already come to know Him through our journey!"

Brian & Jen
Spence Family
Brian and Jen have been married for seven years. Jen is a dreamer and creative. Brian is practical and patient. God sure knew what He was doing when putting these two together. They really balance each other. Both love the Lord and live to share His love and follow His leading. Family is about love, patience, forgiveness and acceptance. Brian and Jen know that the only way to make a family work (whether a family of two or a family of 10), is for Jesus Christ to be the center of everything.

After several years of trying to start a family the traditional way, God opened Brian and Jen's hearts to the idea of adoption. They began the process in June 2009. And although it is taking longer than they had hoped to save up the money, their resolve has not changed. They know that God has a child just for them---a baby that needs them as mommy and daddy.

Brian and Jen don't exactly know how they will finish paying for the adoption, but they are believing Psalm 145:17-19, "The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them."

Stefanich Family

David and I (MacKenzie) have been married for one exciting year :)  We are both elementary school teachers, and so far have 2 pugs in our growing family.  We love the outdoors and love to ride bikes, jog, and go to the beach.

Since before we were married we always knew adoption would be a part of our family plan.  Once we decided to start a family, we felt so strongly called to adopt, that we knew we had to move on it right away.  We felt like our children could be waiting for us in an orphanage, and if so, there was no way we could wait to adopt.

While were researching adoption, we saw a video on our adoption agency's website.  It was a video of children in an Ethiopian orphanage.  We didn't even need to discuss it.  After watching that video, we knew our children were waiting for us in Ethiopia.

David and I hope to adopt 2 children from Ethiopia.  Our true desire is to adopt a sibling group, but we trust that God has a plan for us and our children, and will go through the adoption process again if we adopt only one child this time around.  We are so excited to start our family and cannot wait to meet our children!  Thank you so much for helping to support us through this process.  We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we go through this amazing adoption journey!

Summers Family
Summers Family
Meet Matt and Kelly Summers from Texas but living in Corsica working for an international company. They have been married for 3 1/2 years and have a precious little girl Sadie.
"Recently, The Lord asked if we would do something for Him, if we would welcome a little child on his behalf {Mt 18:5} and show sacrificial Love to him as He has to us. He asked if we would let His Love shine through us and this new child to those around us. And he promised that every penny, all the paper work, every court date...All of it would be worth it. He promised that he would be at every obstacle with us, helping us defeat it. And He showed us that by not doing it would cost the child so much more then it could ever cost us. St. Francis of Assisi says it well, "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible."

We cannot wait to welcome the next child God has planned for us into our family. We realize that Sadie didn't choose us, and these precious {147 million} orphans didn't choose their situation either, and we must "act justly and love mercy and walk humbly with our God." Micah 6:8. Please join us on our journey and help raise awareness for these precious children of God."

Young Family
Young Family
Bryan and Kim Young prayed before they met each other for God to bring someone into their lives that they could share their walk with. He answered those prayers in such detail as to not leave His work in question.
"Now the Lord is asking us to share our joy with the fatherless in international adoption. The Lord has made it blatant to us that this is His plan for starting our family. Despite not having the funds to complete something so huge, the Lord has given us confidence that He will provide the means if we go where He asked us to. So rather than running from Ninevah, we are jumping in with our eyes on Him. He has already provided the funds for us to get all of the early fees covered and we entirely trust Him to provide the rest. We have love for a child we do not yet know. We are excited to bring a child home from Ethiopia and spend our lives loving him and teaching him about the Lord."
