Thrifty Love {link party #20}

Time for some Thrifty Love! I love checking out your cool finds. Thanks so much for linking up. Here are a couple that caught my eye this week.

Diddle & Ro shares this fantastic turquoise clock. I love that handle on the top!

And A Little Bit of Everything shows us this vintage shortening container. How cool is that? Come on Crisco get with the program we like pretty containers!

My husband and I got to have a small getaway recently. While on our getaway one thing we definitely did was hit up a couple of thrift shops and swap meets! It is so fun thrifting in another town. Fresh inventory! Sorry for the picture overload but hey I found some great things!

Our family number is 4 so I am drawn to the number 4. I definitely had to pick up this 4 ball.

Next are these vintage mason jars with the zinc lids. Apparently the green one is older than the blue one??? Gonna make some of these!

I picked up these glass Pyrex bottles with glass stoppers for 25¢ each! Really Pyrex??? What ever were these used for? I have a thing for small bottles lately.

I love these cast iron skeleton keys! I am always on the look out for keys and don't come across them too often. And they are fairly large at about 6 inches long.

More bottles. These were spice jars.

Vintage earrings.

And some pretty vintage silverware. Hum what to do with these...lots of ideas running through my mind!

So what have you found lately?

  1. You did a double take on this outing. You and hubby had a great time out and about and then both enjoy the thrift shops. It paid off. You found some great buys.

  7. Wow, I really love your finds, especially the skeleton keys and the Pyrex bottles!

I used some old Sarah Coventry clip on earrings as shoe clips on my wedding day. Those green earrings might work great for something you might have? I posted some pics of my shoes with the earrings here:

  15. Hi!
Those bottles with stoppers are lab glassware. I worked in a lab until recently and we were still using those. Even if they are newer ones there is definitely a market for any type of lab glassware-I would have snatched them up myself :)

  16. Thanks for all the great comments! And welcome to all the new friends joining in this week! Glad to have you.

Bonnie I was wondering that cause I also recently picked up a small Pyrex beaker. Not from the same yard sale though.

  17. What great finds; especially love the Pyrex bottles. Haven't seen any of these in a long time. I love checking out thrift shops when I travel; even when we go camping! : ) I'm a new follower, found you on Boogieboard Cottage. Would love for you to link up to my Frugal Treasures Tuesday party.

  18. Loved seeing your 'found' treasures...awesome. The bottles you displayed with the glass toppers are Laboratory bottles. I have a number of them and use them for vitamin bottles. I enjoyed seeing your somewhat tarnished silverware (smile)...I recognized some of the patterns as ones I have seen in our family and two that I own myself. Thanks for sharing your 'loot'.
I am now a follower of your blog and look forward to return visits. I invite you to join me as well on my blog at http://atastefultouch.blogspot.com
    Hugs, Gayle.
