{What Do I Know of Holy}: I HATE RELIGION

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

Last week I told you that my one word for 2012 was...JOY! Go here to read why if you missed it.

I have been praying for God to reveal to me what he wants me to share with you here every Wednesday and boy did he make it clear.

There is only 1 thing that can bring you true JOY in this life and that is a personal relationship with our savior, Jesus Christ.

I am not talking about happiness. Happiness is circumstantial.

But you can have JOY regardless of what is going on in your life. Despite it, in fact. And I am going to explain to you over the next few weeks how it is possible.

Will you take this journey with me?

Watch this incredible video, which we will discuss in depth over the next few weeks. Go ahead and leave me some comments with your thoughts. I would love to know your initial reaction, where you currently stand. And I strongly encourage you to share it with your friends. Talk to you next week! ;)

To the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. {Romans 4:5}

  1. What can I say WOW!!! After I came to know the Lord I decided that the one thing I wanted more than anything was for other to see Him in me not a church and living my life according to the word is the best and only guide line you will ever need.
    So I decided many years ago to leave the "Christian" church and started going to a home church of Messianic believers where we believe the word (the whole word both old and new) means what it says and says what it means. We also believe that the word is God's way for us to know Him.
    I look forward to reading about your journey I know for me I have found Joy even while suffering pain. It's odd I know but it does happen.
    I wish you Joy and will be praying for you.

  3. Wow, I have been dealing with the thought of religion lately. So weird in my head that you put this on. See I recently stopped going to church, not because I don't love God and don't believe him to be true but because I was always being questioned by others about where I was and how I wasn't helping enough. I'm a mom of three and a student so it is hard for me to give myself to another thing. I always thought that when my kids get older I will have time to give to my church. This uncomfortable feeling has made me stop going to church. I always felt that I was being looked down on. So I decided it wasn't for me anymore. I love Jesus, I love the Lord, but I do not want to be in a place that makes me feel that way. I don't need to sit in a church, follow anyone's rules to love and respect the Lord. Thanks for putting this on your page.
