{What Do I Know of Holy}: It is Finished

It. Is. Finished.

Jesus cried out when he was on the cross.

Our sins have been paid for. The sacrifice has been made. Once and for all. It is done.

Don't let anyone tell you any differently. Instead...

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. {Hebrews 12:2}

Did you hear that?

1. He sat down. His work is complete.

2. He sat down on the right side. The side where pardons were made in Jewish culture.

You see...

Religion says DO. Jesus says DONE.

As I have stated many times in our I HATE RELIGION series, there is nothing you can or cannot do that will make God love you any more or any less.

It is all about what Jesus did on the cross.

It is only through a personal relationship with Him that you will be saved from sin and death. It is only through a personal relationship with Him that your sins will be washed away and you will be made perfect. It is only through a personal relationship with Him that you will receive eternal life in Heaven.
