Mexican Wedding Cakes Recipe

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Sooo Yummy! This is the recipe my mom has used for years! I made them just last week and they were perfect!

1 cup butter
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate for 4 hours. Roll into small balls and drop on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool. Roll in powdered sugar.

Super easy and super good!

Have you checked out the post about Brady? We still need your donated items! So while you're out this weekend pick up something for Brady or get to crafting cause we need them by 2/28!

Also the giveaway for the Shabby Apple Dress is HERE! Be sure to enter that too if you haven't already!
Have a good weekend my friends!

  9. I am happy you gave us the recipe as it sounds so good and your cookies look yummy. I am wondering if they are like my mom's Sand Tarts.

  10. Wow, they sound and look exactly like the Russian Tea Cakes I make!! They are one of my favorite things (and the quickest thing) to whip up for the holidays. I would love it if you'd link this up to my Marvelous Mess party. I will be choosing one project to be featured on my sidebar for a week!! 11. Lots of memories here. 36 years ago I made dozens of these for my wedding reception. I piped a pink flower on top of each one. They are still one of my favorite cookies.

  13. I love Mexican Wedding Cookies. My husband loves them because they're not as sweet as other cookies. So I will have to make these for him!
