Button Collection

Collections! We've all got them! Be it antenna balls, antique/vintage finds from thrift stores (love my random plates/creamer dishes and other) or buttons. Yes I have each of these collections and more. lol! Today I will share my button collection. The collection that inspired my big ole button!

My collection started off pretty lonely. This milk bottle full of buttons has taken me several years to fill. Buttons of various styles in bulk are actually pretty hard to come by. Unless you want to pay big bucks for them that is.
Well Grandma Susie, my husbands grandma was getting rid of some stuff recently and when I saw the buttons (and thread) I couldn't help myself! Buuuuuuuuttonnnnns, I need buttons.....while gravitating toward them like a zombie. Lol!

I was able to fill this big jar with her stray buttons! And.....
...take a look at these!
Still on their packaging and oh so lovely.

So my collection went from one lonely milk bottle full to all this! Yay for buttons!
Thank you Grandma Susie! I love my new to me buttons!

So what is it that you collect? Or do you have too many collections to count?

Oh my! Great buttons! I found a jar full at the Goodwill once, but I put them back. I'm not sure why, but I did it, and I still regret it! :D

Oh, they're just gorgeous, such pretty colors. You are so lucky to have Grandma Susie's collection, I think it makes them that much more special with they belonged to a family member. So pretty to look at in the jars.
