This week I ask, if you sell your thrifted goodies, ebay or etsy, which do you prefer? I am just getting started over at etsy for my thrifty things but am wondering if I should be doing ebay instead. I like how they do auction and you can list low and let it climb. I do not like the thought of things just sitting there in an online shop therefore also just sitting in my home taking up space. Yikes space, who has enough of that?
I want to share something with you before we get to more Thrifty Love. I know some of you are new around here and may not know that I have partnered with Worthy of the Prize (WOTP) in their effort to help adopting families raise money for their adoption. With the purchase of each Chosen necklace I donate $10. WOTP also donates the entire proceeds from their chosen fit band! I'm telling you this cause our current family's month is almost up. You can help them rescue their child by purchasing these products. If you don't have funds to make a purchase right now you can also help them without spending any money at all! Simply follow Worthy of the Prize's blog. If they reach 530 before the month is up they will double their funds that the family has earned this month! They are at 512 at time of writing this post. It's one simple way to help a child longing for a family!
Now for those Thrifty Love features!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for featuring my vintage typewriter. It's receiving a lot of attention at our house. My kids keep playing with it. (And they're all teenagers.)
ReplyDeleteI love your daisy tea set. It's so unique and cute!
Hi Hope you're having a nice weekend. I have sold mostly on ETSY and I like it maybe because I'm so used to using it. Etsy for some reason is so much cuter and I feel like I really have my own shop. My items have been selling, just mostly have to be patient. I have used Ebay (auction) once for what I knew was a very rare item and it did real well. I need to use Ebay more to get over the learning curve of using it so I can list faster. Some items i don't want to list on EBAY because there are multiples of the item so sometimes on certain items I think they would get lost. So simply put EBAY auction for rare high demand items-
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting. I haven't tried either but I know several of my blogging friends sell on Etsy.

ReplyDeleteThat tea set is fabulous!!! Great find! I have no advice on eBay vs. Etsy as I've only sold on Etsy, but I've really enjoyed it so far. It just takes some time to build a clientel with Etsy. I am heading over now to follow Worthy of the Prize! ~Heather
