What I Love About the Thrift Store {Link Party #8}

Friday, November 18, 2011

One thing I absolutely love about the thrift store is the opportunity to repurpose things! Seriously, just look at things and think, I know what it's made for but how can I use it? What can I do with it, what can I make out of it?
Do you remember my finds from the last link up?
Check them out now in all their glory!
Green succulents and silver containers are great together. A match made in heaven. :)
This adorable plant holder became a gift for my mom! She loved it! I painted the "thingamajig" (maybe a jam/jelly holder???) a soft yellow and added an antique glaze. I am very happy with the outcome. And this my friends is what I love about the thrift store!

Find anything lately? I'll be looking to feature some of your finds next week so join us.

  2. I do the same thing. Sometimes it is fun to know what the original purpose was, but even better is finding a new use for an item.
    You did well.
