One of the things I love...

... about creating hand stamped jewelry is that it never gets old! No matter how many times I create a piece I never tire of it and I love that!
Just made one of these and it makes me smile!
Because they are handcrafted no 2 pieces are ever exactly alike. So your cupcakes make me smile will be slightly different than my cupcakes make me smile. But either way they will be beautiful!

On hand stamped jewelry is each letter is imprinted one at a time therefore each letter will never be perfectly aligned. But these little imperfections are what give hand stamped jewelry it's appeal and charm.

And one of the best things about it is that you can personalize it to say anything! Got a not so common name, want a fun saying? Not a problem with hand stamped jewelry!

What do you like about hand stamped jewerly or what would you have your hand stamped piece say?

Purse Planter

Recently guest posted this over at The Queen of My House and now I want to share it here with you.

When I saw this handbag in my sis in law's "to the thrift store pile" I had to have it. Not cause I really love handbags and it was cute and stylish, which it was.

But for this! I made it into a purse planter! Now how cute is that?!
I simply cut out the liner which allowed more room for the soil. Then I took an ice pick and poked drainage holes in the bottom of the purse (there was a leather bottom). Next I took a plastic shopping bag, cut the bottom off, then lined the purse. This way the moisture will be held in on the sides but cutting out the bottom will allow it to drain. Fill with soil and plants and ta da! You can even plant the pockets if you like!

Check it out, being all cute next to my bench!
Have you made any crazy planters lately?

Have you been thrifting lately or saleing as my brother and I like to call it when we go to yard sales? You can bet I have! Check out some of the treasures in my neck of the woods.

Planter plans for those rain boots. And I have a thing for wire baskets and metal containers lately. :) Might be able to get some use out of those for my office. Which by the way I need your ideas for soon.

A small ladle and that candy dish oh I love that candy dish. The white glass the knobby details!

And just look at the underside!

Cute little vintage sewing basket which may be of use in my office also.

A cool old frame, you know real light weight plastic and the screw on back! And a neat new to me caddy for my jewelry making tools!

There's just something about those old, vintage, used items! The quality and beauty of those yesteryear's.

Have you been saleing lately??? What neat items have you found? What do you love about thrift items?

I'd like to introduce you to Treebee Soap! Treebee Soaps is a collection of handmade bath and body products made with the finest ingredients. Lotions to body washes, body sprays to lip balm! But what attracted me to Treebee Soap was the sight of their awesome Soap by the Slice!!! Just look at all that beauty, it's like a work of art isn't it?

Giveaway coming up but first I was lucky enough to try some of their products and here's the scoop! Treebee Soap sent me 2 Soap by the Slice and I love them. They are sooooo pretty and they smell soooo good! They lather very well and leave a soft sent after washing with them. And they are sooooo pretty! Wait didn't I already say that? I just cant get over their beauty! Look at mine!

They also sent me the Lipitz a refreshing lip smoother made with mango butter and beeswax. I got to try Mint to Bee and Party Girl.  And I tell ya I just can't get enough of that Party Girl! It's quite tasty and seems a bit berry. The mint is very refreshing and cool. Both are smooth as can be on the lips!

Next we have the Shakin Shampoo & Body Wash in Icy Peach. I'm not sure if the Icy means cool and refreshing or what but that's exactly what it is!

Makes a nice lather and leaves your skin feeling fresh!

The Lotion Blitz is probably one of my favorites! It smells good, it feels good and leaves your skin feeling soft. It too is very refreshing. I got to try grapefruit.

Last we have the Body Spritz. A refreshing body spray with just the right touch of scent! Feels cool on the skin.

I must say I am very pleased with Treebee Soap products and am already thinking that I may be doing a little Christmas shopping over there. I found several of their products to leave my skin feeling cool and refreshed. The lotion, body wash, body spray, and the lip balm all did that and I like that cool feeling!

Treebee has offered a lovely giveaway prize! One lucky winner will get the Soap-by-the-Slice, the Body Spritz, and the Lotion Blitz all in the NEW Icy Peach fragrance!

Little Lamp Ornament

Monday, July 12, 2010

Do you like to hang things from your lamps? Tassels, ornaments, whatever? I do! You got a peek at this one here. But here is the before and after of my cool new lamp ornament.

Before -

After -
I spray painted it white first. Once dry I taped off the white center part and spray painted the frame area green. I printed out the letter P on regular white paper in the correct size. Letter is from Michelle Underwood Super Cool Alphabet. Cut it out and Elmer's Glued it to the white area. Once the glue was dry I brushed on a coat of Elmer's glue over the front of the P and the entire white area. I placed a strip of fabric through the existing loop.

Ahhhh So Pretty!!!

Congrats to my real life BFF!

The term BFF or Best Friend Forever seems to be used pretty loosely lately. But do you have a real best friend forever? I do! I have 2 true blue best friends that I know will be friends forever. Margie who I've known forever and Monica who I've known forever and a day. Today I want to talk about Margie.

I recently sat out in the hot sun at 7 am (yes it's hot here at 7am) to see this girl cross that stage and get that diploma!

After several years (cause yeah, we've been out of high school for awhile now) Margie has earned her BA and is now on her way to her Masters!

So to you Margie I wish you a big fat Congratulations! You finally did it and I am so proud of you! Not only for getting your BA but for doing it as a single mother and working full time! Yes, you Rock! I love you girl! And I know your masters is coming. Keep up the hard work. You will get there soon!
